The WILD ONES is an adrenalized docuseries following a trio of experts on a quest to find, film and help protect the most endangered animals on Earth. In each episode, the team travels ‘off the map’ to discover more about these secretive creatures before it’s too late. Trekking into jungles; paddling along uncharted rivers; scaling mountain peaks – the team joins forces with local experts to deploy new cameras and tech. Revealing the hidden lives of these secretive creatures and uncovering the issues they face. Only by capturing the world’s most endangered species on camera – can they help protect them in the future.

Combining cutting-edge technology with adrenaline-fuelled action and on-the-ground conservation work, The Wild Ones offers an unfiltered look at the challenges facing our planet’s rarest creatures.   Fronted by former Royal Marines Commando and expedition lead Aldo Kane, wildlife and camera trap expert Declan Burley, and Congolese-born wildlife cinematographer Vianet Djenguet, The Wild Ones blends rugged field adventure with groundbreaking science and conservation. The team traverses six countries—Malaysia, Mongolia, Armenia, Indonesia, Canada, and Gabon—deploying next-generation camera technology to capture rare and often first-ever footage of elusive species, including the Malayan tiger, Gobi bear, Caucasian leopard, Javan rhino, North Atlantic right whale, and Western lowland gorilla.

In Malaysia’s rainforests, the team searches for the world’s rarest tiger, fewer than 150 remain, racing to protect them from poachers before they’re hunted to extinction.  Braving the Gobi Desert, the team embarks on the ultimate hide-and-seek challenge, tracking the world’s rarest bear – fewer than 60 remain – in a bid to prevent a new road driving the species to extinction. In Africa’s dense jungles, the team endeavours to film wild gorilla troops for the first time – to help protect them.  In Armenia’s rugged mountains, the team tracks the majestic Caucasian leopard, determined to find, film and help protect this elusive predator.  On the islands of Indonesia, the team searches for the world’s rarest rhino, fewer than 70 remain, in a bid to help them breed again.  Battling the wild, unforgiving North Atlantic, the team searches for a critically endangered whale, where only cutting-edge technology could save them from entanglement in fishing lines.
